BARRY JESSOP
Director
Barry Jessop specializes in commercial and property law.
He is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Barry has a background in banking (ex Cape of Good Hope Bank) and is experienced in dealing with Banks, Liquidations and Auctions.

GRAEME DORRINGTON
Director
Graeme Dorrington was born in King Williams Town. He was an exchange student in the USA for a year and then studied at Wits and at Rhodes universities where he obtained his BA and LLB degrees. Graeme is admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
After articles in Johannesburg, he first joined a legal practice and later established his own practice in King William’s Town and East London. During this time Graeme was Chairman of Lawyers for Human Rights (Border region), a member of the Lawyers for Human Rights National Executive, and was a member of the Executive of the Kei Chamber of Business.
Graeme is a proficient public speaker and has delivered workshops and seminars on legislative-related topics ranging from Labour legislation, FAIS and the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Act. He has had a great deal of practical experience as a specialist in B-BBEE and Employment Law.

LOUIS VAN NIEKERK
Director
Louis obtained his BA LLB degree from Stellenbosch University in 2009 and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in February 2012.
Louis specializes in commercial law and B-BBEE ownership structures and has provided clients with advice and assistance in a wide range of matters including consumer protection, commercial transactions and agreements, dispute resolution and litigation, company law, insolvency related matters, B-BBEE and trusts.
Louis has a genuine passion for the law and delving into complex problems in order to find simple and effective solutions. Louis became a director of Dorrington Jessop Inc with effect from March 2015.
Outside office hours Louis is an avid fledgling scuba diver and also enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, camping, photography and the occasional paddle on the sea.

ILZE-MARIE PRINSLOO
Associate
Ilze-Marie completed her LLB at the University of Stellenbosch in 2010 and was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer of the High Court in 2013.
She completed her articles and first year of practice at a medium size firm in Cape Town where she obtained valuable insights and experience in the fields of civil litigation, third party claims and family law.
She left the practice for a brief period and spent some time at a financial institution as a Legal Advisor in the recoveries department.
Ilze-Marie joined Dorrington Jessop in June 2015 and is the powerhouse behind our conveyancing department.

BRYONY MATTHEE
Associate
Bryony graduated with her BA LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 2012.
During her studies she was a consultant at the Stellenbosch University legal aid clinic and completed a six week internship at a human rights law firm in Washington, D.C.
Bryony did her articles at a large firm in Cape Town, working in their litigation department and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in February 2015.
Bryony joined Dorrington Jessop in February 2015 and works in our Dispute Resolution and Labour Law Departments.

MICHELLE NAGY
Associate
Michelle assists us in a large variety of matters including conveyancing, estates and litigation, with a special focus on the administration of deceased estates. Michelle completed her LLB degree at the University of Cape Town in 2013.
While there she made the Dean’s merit list for two consecutive years, acted as a student legal advisor at the UCT Law Clinic and volunteered with the Constitutional Literacy and Service Initiative teaching Constitutional Law to high school students.
She has a background in technical wiring, bookkeeping, administration and graduated top of her class at Montrose Business College with distinction in various subjects including Human Resource Management.
